tail a remote file via ssh

ssh -q somehost “tail –lines=22 -f /some/log/file”

# due to the -f flag, this command runs forever until stopped

# The -q suppresses the ssh banner

# the –lines and -f combination lets us FFFollow a growing log file after showing the last 22 lines. This is useful if the important content is not in the last 10 lines.
