lock_guard is simpler than unique_lock

LG and UL are the 2 simplest (therefore most used) wrappers over a mutex.

You could use UL whenever you see LG, with some trivial disclaimers (efficiency, intent…)

boost::scoped_lock (not in c++ standard) is a typedef over UL.
