calling parent operator=() — why@@

I feel many developers have a need to invoke base class’s operator=(). Syntax is non-trivial. http://icu-project.org/docs/papers/cpp_report/the_anatomy_of_the_assignment_operator.html shows you can simply write

MyBase::operator=(RHS);

Q: What if you have mutiple parents? What are the consequences?
