blocking vs wait()

I know just a few blocking operations
* join()
* I/O
* waiting for synchronized

I believe blocking operations do not release the lock.

Many blocking operations have no timeout, whereas wait() can have.

wait() and most blocking operations can be interrupted. However, blocking due to “synchronized” is not interruptible.
